What we're building

What becoming the most transparent cosmetics company in the world looks like.

Every PLU formula is a short list of ingredients, each one named, each one with a stated job. We publish the dose. An independent third-party lab measures it in the finished bottle and screens every formula for heavy metals. The reports are public.

We want to keep making products that are as simple and transparent as we can. If it goes on your body, you should be able to see exactly what it is and how much of it there is.

Where this comes from

We built the company we couldn't find.

Two of us came to this from different directions. One had spent years in the food industry watching what people started expecting from what they eat: short ingredient lists, plain names, nothing hiding behind a proprietary blend. He was sure the same expectation was coming for what goes on the body, and nobody was building for it.

Another was dealing with hair loss. Minoxidil irritated his scalp, so he went looking at the research on copper peptides and liked what he read. Then he tried to buy some. There was no product to buy, just raw powders from overseas suppliers, weeks of shipping, and no way to know what was actually in the bag.

So we built the company we couldn't find. A short list of ingredients, each one with a purpose, verified by a third-party lab. All four of us use them every day.

Five or six ingredients per bottle, and we tell you what each one is for. No proprietary blends. Nothing buried in a list you'd stop reading.

We don't ask you to take our word for it.
